"MODOC"
Broke, Broke, Broke! Modoc is a really well built, gorgeous, heavy duty, all-around gelding. He is patterned on poles, and barrels. He has been seasoned on the barrels, gone to several large races, and handled everything extremely well. He has a wonderful disposition, and does everything with ease; shoeing, catch, traveling/stalling, loading, and bathing. He has excellent ground manners, and is an easy keeper. Modoc get's along well with other horses and is completely comfortable with kids, dogs, and noise. Modoc has been ridden western, English, and bareback. He is outstanding on the trail, nice walk, crosses water, and so on. With an exceptional foundation of training, he can be ridden in anything from a halter, O-ring snaffle, to a ported bit. He can; arc/counter arc, leg yield, half pass, lead departures, flying lead changes, collect, spin, and stop/back nicely. He is very quiet, but don't mistake that for being lazy. He has power in his turns, and is extremely responsive to leg cues, and your body. He also is very handy working cows, and enjoys it! His first owner did High School and College Rodeo, and he was exposed to all aspects. I don't know how much roping he has done, but he is definitely built right for it. At 9, he is the perfect age to find a family that will take advantage of all his qualities, and allow him to be the horse extraordinaire that he wants to be! He would definitely be well-suited for an experienced youth who wants to do multiple events or an intermediate adult looking for the next step up. He is respectful and can be ridden by riders of all ages/levels on the trail; however when asking for speed, experience is needed as he is very responsive and powerful. He would excel in High School Rodeo and/or
